Days Of Betrayal started out in the beginning of 2004 with the intension of playing metalcore with a wink to black and deathmetal.
At that time they didn't had a bassplayer, so after a long search they came up with Krist who saw Davy at a party at some dump called Evergem.
So Krist joined their rangs in the band, so a five piece band was born. They started working on their songs and made a mix of German metalcore, influenced by bands such as Heaven shall burn,
Caliban and some Fear my Thoughts combined with the Swedisch overal sound of At The Gates and In flames. After finishing five songs they played their first shows at the Club Klunen Metalfest ,this was a metalfest
organised in their hometown. On that bill they stood between some heavy black/deathmetal bands. They came out as a surprise they didn't expect that they would sound that heavy, so a couple of more shows followed pretty soon.
After playing some hardcore shows and even more metal shows they realized that they wanted to create a sound which is more warm, passionate, melodic, but still fast and brutal. The Götheborg (Swedish) death metal way.
So they changed some settings on their instruments and started working again. They made brand new songs and rewrote their older ones. The vocals change between deep deathgrunts and hardcore screams. Don't ask what type of metal
/hardcore they play, and frankly, they don't give a shit. It's a mix up off the personal tastes of five separate individuals. It's like people who eat fries with their spaghetti, tuna fish with derby chips, or choco on their potatoes some like it, others puke their
stomach out. But in a way it makes their music unique. Metal or hardcore shows, mussels or fish, a tight pussy or a hairy butt. They'll play them both.
Days of betrayal is scheduled to record a 2 song promo mid april. And they will be playing a lot of shows starting 26 march 2005 ! ! !
