Cheesy Victims plays an energetic blend of freaky nu-metal and grooving hardcore. Influences of this Dutch band from Haarlem range from System of a Down to Primus, and from Faith no more to Carcass. Their surprising songs are made using a mix of the following: down-tuned guitar, slapping bass, original drumming, and varied vocals. The band always tries to impress the crowd with a tight set, and an insanely energetic stage performance. Often, they succeed…

Cheesy Victims has been complete since september 1998. Since then the band has performed on many stages and festivals throughout Holland (among which Melkweg in Amsterdam, the most prestigious Dutch venue). Once in a while Cheesy Victims shares the stage with the Dr. Mad Freakshow. The combined performance with grindshows, live piercing and freaky extravaganza has turned many heads.

2001 has been an important year for Cheesy Victims. Apart from launching a new internetsite, they recorded their first 5-track CDemo, which received many positive press reviews, even in Italy… Furthermore the band performed for the second time in the Melkweg, a gig that impressed many people, among which professionals from the music industry. This resulted in an interview with a main Dutch paper, and a deal with a booking agency.

2002 was an even more succesful year. The band collected a solid crew (soundengineer, lichttechnician, roadies and merchandise girl) to make sure the shows run smoothly.
In March Cheesy Victims organised a 16-day tour to Italy, and drove with their own Cheesy Tour Camper to nine gigs (e.g. Rome, Florence and Bari). This unforgettable experiemce has brought the band still closer together.
In April Cheesy Victims won the Rob Acda Award, being the first metalband ever to beat the 24 other bands to fame and fortune... Shortly after, the band played at Bevrijdingspop Haarlem (50,000 people).
In fall 2002 the band was approached by producer Justin Billinger, and the preparations for a full-length debut album were initiated. In December the band got signed by Little Shark Records, an independent label with many interesting contacts. Shortly after Cheesy Victims got the chance to record the album at the prestigious Galaxy Studios in Belgium, known for projects like Rammstein and Guano Apes.

Currently the band is working hard to finish the album for the release on March 27th 2003. Mastering will be done at Galaxy Studios by Ronald Prent (known for mixing and mastering Rammstein). The CD presentation tour starts in Holland at Patronaat, 013 and Melkweg and will continue in Italy (11-27 April).
